Has it ever occurred to you that success can be achieved online? Or, have you at one point been so naïve to think that you cannot achieve success online? Well, I’d wish to let you know that your thoughts might have misled you, if your answer was NO and Yes respectively. For the right-minded person, success can be achieved and I will let you know why. The internet has provided us with a myriad opportunities that we may even compete with bigger brands or companies that began years ago. Today, anyone with a bright idea has the ability of becoming the next millionaire online! Yes, I mean you can also be part of the young millionaires such as
Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg; Mobile Monopoly founder, Adam Horwitz; and myyearbook.com founder, Catherine Cook, just to mention a few.
The internet provides all avenues for such success, since it is one big multi-billion dollar community. It doesn’t matter whether you have the right skills or whether you lack skills, so believe me when I say so. An example of a wonder boy is that of Michael Dunlop, owner of incomediary.com. At 21, he didn’t have a diploma certificate or any extraordinary skills, but he managed to take the challenge and today his blog has amassed millions of dollars – writing for a living. Someone may ask if blogging can actually make you that kind of money. My answer is a big YES! But, if you are willing to take it step by step.
There is a reason why you need take some time reading my blog as the information contained herein will impart knowledge that is valuable to the sense that your idea could be the next big sensation. A lot of students are quick to ignore the fact that one can’t necessarily succeed if they are unemployed. Take that as a big lie next time someone mentions that to you. You have been through college trying to hone your skills in preparation of life’s challenges and not because you anticipate to land a job any time soon after completing studies. So, what do you need to do in this case? You need to visualize and find a solution to a problem; perhaps one that can really impact society in a positive way.
What you should know!
Thinking of a bright idea is a very complex process, but could also be a very simple one. Very many graduates and undergraduate students leave college each year, and most of them end up struggling to cope with life. This is the appropriate time to stand up, take heart and go for it, since it’s never too late to bounce back. Here is where I discuss with you traits that you require to make top dollar doing what you are passionate about.
1. Accept support
Even though you might have an awesome idea, you really need enough support and advice, which enable you to make correct decisions. Support from your family, friends and perhaps co-workers is really vital if you are eyeing for success. As an entrepreneur, one may be of the opinion that he/she doesn’t need other people’s opinions to succeed. However, this is wrong judgment since there are many challenges that arise along the way that will be presented – and for you to overcome the challenges, such support is necessary for your success.
2. Hard work and determination
No one in the world has achieved success overnight buddies! It has all been through hard work and determination. Even the rich such as Microsoft founder, Billl Gates had to put in effort to be the man he is today. In the online world, success can come too early or very late, but what matters is the hard work and effort. Becoming an entrepreneur online is not all about unicorns…you need to dedicate much of your time in the beginning to be able to build a strong foundation upon which your business will be based. So, if you are thinking about an idea that you want to pursue, make sure you go hard on it and for the first few weeks or months – don’t visualize about overnight success unless you plan to stay awake overnight, which I doubt if it makes any sense.
3. Follow your passion
By now, I guess you should have studied something about the entrepreneurs I mentioned earlier in this article. Each one of them is extremely passionate about what he/she is doing. This is a great lesson for anyone out there trying to get into any kind of business. Bottom-line, you have to really go after what you love otherwise, you might just expose yourself to unintended failures if you choose to do something you aren’t passionate about. For example, if you are passionate about cars, it easier for you to venture into the automobile industry as a writer or consultant where success can easily be achieved. On the other hand, a wannabe tech entrepreneur would be wrongly placed if he/she chose to pursue a relationships field where he/she doesn’t have the least of skills needed – and passion. You are doomed to fail if you try doing something you don’t love!
4. Be ready to persevere
What do you do when you put all your effort in doing something and the next thing is rejection, criticism or even failure? You stand up firm and do what you have to do – swallow your pain, be strong and fight the bout. It is all about perseverance mates. In the business world, you are bound to encounter many people, some will approve your effort and some will discredit your effort. Many of the successful entrepreneurs have failed more than enough times, but they have maintained their pursuit of making it rich online. King Midas’s legend remains just that, a legend. You shouldn’t expect that anything you lay your hands on to turn to gold, otherwise you are bound to get disillusioned. From an entrepreneurs’ perspective, entrepreneurship is all about downfalls while succeeding as an entrepreneur requires the ability to get back on to your feet.
5. Humility
Have you ever placed yourself in a position where you thought you knew it all? You better re-configure your mindset if YES is your answer. You have every reason to put your pride aside and listen to what people who have already been there are saying to you. These people have the experience of what works and what doesn’t. So, if you intend to come up with an idea, listen to advice, since it costs nothing. After all, it makes no sense to try doing stuff that has been tried and considered as failure. Being humble is a great virtue.
If only a mind with such great ideas can uphold the above-mentioned traits, then there is no doubt that success can be achieved. Starting and running a successful business is not as easy as it may sound. Your input into whatever you do really matters. What do you think? Do you have any other traits that have been proven?
